The facilities at Turnbull School feature modern computer labs with Smartboard technology, equipped science lab, modular lab/classrooms, art room and a large yard, perfect for outdoor portions of the program. The school is located on the edge of the Central Experimental Farm.
All camp programs are offered at the day camp with the exception of Rocketry. While we are restricted from flying model rockets in the city, campers taking any of the General programs will construct a model rocket. Each rocket will be loaded with a rocket engine and then test "flown" on the Hila Rocket Sled . The model rocket accelerates while attached to a wire guided sled.
The activities are all "hands-on" with numerous
take home projects - electronic weather stations, kites,
electromagnets, model aircraft, motors, printed photographs and digital
images, CD's, Digital Video VCD, model cars, electronic computer
interfaces and more.
