This image of the Cygnus region of space was captured at Hila Science
Camp. The large red object is the Norh America Nebula. Located 3500 light
years from earth, it is shaped like the continent of North America. The
red glow is the typical colour emitted by hydrogen gas. The bright star
close to the nebula is Deneb, a blue giant, 1500 light years from earth.
Deneb marks the tail of the constellation Cygnus the swan.
