A special program for students of Renfrew County's Catholic Schools
As part of the board’s special education initiative, Carol and Wayne Campbell from Hila Science Camp are presenting a series of workshops designed for the advanced learner. All grade 4 to 8 students enrolled in schools of the Renfrew County Catholic District School Board are eligible to attend. The workshops are hands on with all equipment and supplies provided. All workshops are being held at Bishop Smith Catholic High school . |

BSCHS, Pembroke In this workshop you will learn about some of the technology used in renewable energy. Using digital meters you will learn to measure the voltage and current produced by solar panels and how to construct a working solar array that will actually produce electricity from sunlight. You will use a small electrical generator to learn how electricity is produced by falling water and wind. Don't worry if you have never done anything like this before, we will teach you everything you need to know about this important technology.
