Mayan Symbol

Tulum, Mexico 1991

This image is of a symbol painted over the door of a small Mayan temple at Tulum. The symbol seemed to be painted on, it was a dusty black colour and was protected from the elements, including the sun. This photo of the symbol includes my left hand to give some scale to the picture. Contrast has been enhanced with Corel Photopaint.
